WORK PLACEMENT
Work placement is a mandatory HSC requirement within this
course and framework.
Students are required to complete a minimum of 70 hours in the
workplace i.e. 35 hours per year.
The work placement is designed to enable students to:
Progress towards the achievement of industry
competencies
Develop appropriate attitudes towards work
Learn a range of behaviours appropriate to the industry
Practise skills acquired off the job in a classroom or
workshop
Develop additional skills and knowledge, including the
key competencies
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
are many and varied e.g. from clerical to management to
owning your own business.
