New discipline system – should be on website.

Communicated to all students at the beginning of the year.

Explained warning, ‘time out’, ‘plan to do better’ (contract), ‘faculty suspension’, isolation room, parent interview.

Devised to solve problems before students are suspended from school.

Merit System on website, certificate of achievement, school community service award.

Next A.G.M. meeting and planning day discussion points:

More information on external tests e.g. ELLA, SNAP, work experience.

Recommendation to meet new parents – year 7 – social networking.

Keep contact with Federal and State members of Parliament on specific issues.

Follow up needed on acquisition of lockers for students.

P & C requests more opportunities for open days for parents.

Parents request more information about which years have or do not have camps.

Update on Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Is library studies a subject at the school?

What is the policy for year 10 and 12 formals? Could the school hall be a venue?

Marianne Siokos – new deputy principal introduced herself and advised her past postings.

School website calendar updated for 2 months ahead.

Deputy principal’s intention to use website for communication to parents.

SRC and small group of teachers working on being more involved in creating school rules/’constitution’ for school.
